Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
- Identify Location: Choose a sturdy wall location where support is most needed (e.g., beside the shower, toilet, or on a staircase).
- Mark Holes: Hold the grab bar in position and mark the screw hole locations on the wall. Ensure the marks are level.
- Drill Holes: Use an appropriate drill bit for your wall type (e.g., masonry bit for brick/concrete, wood bit for studs) and drill holes at the marked locations.
- Insert Wall Anchors (if necessary): If mounting into drywall or hollow walls, insert suitable wall anchors (provided or recommended for your wall type).
- Attach Grab Bar: Align the grab bar's mounting plates with the drilled holes and secure it firmly using the provided screws.
- Test Stability: Gently apply weight to the grab bar to ensure it is securely fixed to the wall before use.
Compatibility:
This grab bar is designed to mount securely to most solid wall surfaces, including:
- Studs in drywall
- Solid concrete walls
- Brick walls
*Note: Mounting into hollow walls or plasterboard without securing to studs or using appropriate heavy-duty anchors may compromise stability and safety.*
Care:
- Cleaning: Clean regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Wipe dry immediately.
- Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can scratch the powder-coated finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check that the grab bar remains securely fastened to the wall.
