Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Gabor Hodie boots remain in peak condition, regular maintenance is required:
- Protection: Apply a high-quality suede protector spray before the first wear to guard against water ingress and surface stains.
- Cleaning: Use a suede brush to gently remove dry dirt or surface dust. Never use standard shoe polish.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading. Use a shoe tree or stuffed paper to maintain the boot's shape.
- Insole Care: If you remove the insoles to clean them or replace them with custom ones, ensure the internal cavity of the boot remains dry before reinserting.
- Moisture: If the boots become wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can harden the suede.
