Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: No specific setup is required. The brush is ready for use out of the box.
Compatibility: This brush is compatible with all types of water-based (latex, acrylic) and oil-based (alkyd) paints. It can be used on various surfaces including drywall, wood, metal, and masonry.
Care Instructions: To ensure longevity and optimal performance:
- Cleaning Water-Based Paints: Immediately after use, rinse the brush thoroughly with warm water. Use a brush comb to remove any remaining paint from the filaments. Do not use solvents.
- Cleaning Oil-Based Paints: Use mineral spirits or the appropriate solvent recommended by the paint manufacturer. Work the solvent through the filaments, rinse, and repeat until all paint is removed. Follow up with a mild soap and water solution, rinse again, and comb the bristles.
- Drying: Gently shake off excess water or solvent. Reshape the brush head to its original form. Hang the brush bristles-down or lay it flat to dry. Avoid standing the brush on its bristles.
- Storage: Store the brush in a cool, dry place. For long-term storage, consider using a brush shield or cover to protect the filaments.
