Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your PUMA Palermo Trainers are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply lace them up to your desired tightness for a secure and comfortable fit.
- Unpack: Remove trainers from packaging.
- Try On: Check for fit and comfort. If trying on, ensure you're wearing the type of socks you typically would.
- Lace Up: Adjust laces for a snug, comfortable fit without being too tight.
Compatibility
These unisex trainers are designed to be highly versatile:
- Apparel: They pair well with a wide range of casual clothing, including denim, chinos, shorts, tracksuits, and even some smart-casual trousers.
- Seasons: Best suited for dry conditions due to the suede material, but can be worn year-round in appropriate weather.
- Activities: Ideal for casual wear, light walking, and social activities. Not recommended for intense sports or rugged outdoor use.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your PUMA Palermo Trainers:
- Suede Cleaning: For dirt and scuffs, use a dedicated suede brush to gently remove debris. For deeper stains, use a specialized suede cleaner following the product's instructions.
- Leather Care: Wipe the tumbled leather Formstrip with a soft, damp cloth. For conditioning, apply a small amount of leather conditioner designed for sneakers.
- Textile Base: For general dirt, a gentle wipe with a damp cloth is usually sufficient. Avoid harsh scrubbing.
- Sole Cleaning: Use a damp cloth or a soft brush with mild soap to clean the gum rubber soles.
- Protection: Consider applying a protective spray specifically designed for suede and leather to help repel water and stains, especially before first wear.
- Drying: If wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
