Setup
Setting up your Hisense HS214 Soundbar is designed to be straightforward:
- Placement: Position the soundbar centrally below your TV for optimal sound projection.
- Power: Connect the soundbar to a power outlet using the provided power cable.
- Connect to TV:
- HDMI ARC (Recommended): Connect an HDMI cable from the soundbar's `HDMI OUT (ARC)` port to your TV's `HDMI ARC` port. This allows for control with your TV remote.
- Optical: Connect an Optical cable from the soundbar's `Optical` port to your TV's Optical Digital Audio Out port.
- Coaxial: Connect a Coaxial cable from the soundbar's `Coaxial` port to your TV's Coaxial Digital Audio Out port.
- AUX: Connect a 3.5mm AUX cable from the soundbar's `AUX` port to your TV's headphone or audio out jack.
- Pair Bluetooth Devices: To stream music, select the Bluetooth input on the soundbar, then search for `Hisense HS214` on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop's Bluetooth settings and pair.
Compatibility
The HS214 is highly compatible with a range of devices:
- Roku TV Ready: Verified to work seamlessly with any Roku TV for integrated control.
- TVs: Compatible with most TVs via HDMI ARC, Optical, Coaxial, or AUX connections.
- Mobile Devices: Connects wirelessly to smartphones, tablets, and laptops via Bluetooth.
- Other Audio Sources: Can connect to gaming consoles, DVD/Blu-ray players, and media streamers through available ports.
Care
To maintain your soundbar's performance and appearance:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure the soundbar's vents are not blocked to prevent overheating.
- Avoid Liquids: Keep liquids away from the soundbar to prevent damage.
- Dusting: Regularly dust the grilles and surfaces to prevent build-up.
