Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the kettle and its base from the packaging.
- Rinse: Before first use, fill the kettle with cold tap water to its maximum level, boil it, and then discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Place: Position the kettle base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface near a power outlet.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard household electrical socket. Utilize the integrated cord storage in the base to adjust the cord length and keep your countertop tidy.
Compatibility
This kettle is designed for use with standard household electrical outlets (e.g., 220-240V in the UK). It is compatible with any kitchen environment that has a suitable power source and a stable surface.
Care
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the enamel or stainless steel finish.
- Interior Cleaning/Descaling: Periodically descale your kettle, especially in hard water areas. You can use commercial descaling solutions or a natural method like white vinegar (diluted 1:1 with water). Fill the kettle, bring to a boil, let it sit for an hour (or as per descaler instructions), then rinse thoroughly several times.
- Limescale Filter: The removable stainless steel filter can be easily detached and rinsed under running water to remove collected limescale. For heavy build-up, soak it in a descaling solution.
