FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

No, suede is a porous material. While it can withstand light contact, it should not be worn in heavy rain.

What does the slim fit mean for sizing?

The jacket is cut closer to the body for a tailored look. If you prefer a loose fit or intend to wear heavy layers underneath, consider this before purchasing.

Can I machine wash the jacket?

No, never machine wash this jacket. It must be professionally cleaned by a leather specialist.

Are the pockets secure?

The frontal pockets are designed for easy access, while the two internal pockets are ideal for keeping valuables more secure.

Will the color fade over time?

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the color to fade. Always store the jacket in a dark, dry closet when not in use.

What should I do if the buttons feel loose?

Check the stitching periodically. If a button feels loose, it can be reinforced with a needle and thread, preferably using a matching brown thread.

Troubleshooting

Water or liquid stains on the suede

Gently blot the area with a clean cloth to absorb liquid. Do not rub. Allow it to air dry naturally away from heat sources.

Loss of texture (shiny or matted areas)

Use a suede eraser or a suede brush to gently lift the nap back to its original soft appearance.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Timeless design that works well with both casual and smart-casual outfits
High-quality suede material feels premium and looks sophisticated
Functional pockets provide excellent utility for everyday carry items
Elasticated finishes ensure a consistent and comfortable fit

Slim fit may feel restrictive if worn over thick, bulky sweaters

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This garment does not require any setup, but proper care is essential to maintain the suede.

Weather Protection: Use a suede-specific water repellent spray before wearing the jacket for the first time to shield it from light moisture.
Routine Maintenance: Use a soft-bristled suede brush after wear to remove dust and restore the nap of the leather.
Storage: Always hang the jacket on a padded hanger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the brown dye.
Cleaning: If the garment becomes stained, consult a professional leather and suede cleaner; avoid using water or standard cleaning soaps on the material.
