The Karrimor Summit Walking Shoes feature mesh panels for breathability. While they offer some resistance to light moisture, they are not fully waterproof and are not designed for prolonged exposure to heavy rain or wet conditions.

These shoes are best suited for 'everyday light walks' and moderate trails. For serious or technical hiking, you may require shoes with more aggressive tread, higher ankle support, or specialized waterproofing.

For leather sections, first brush off any loose dirt. Use a damp cloth to wipe clean. For deeper cleaning, apply a small amount of specialized leather cleaner according to its instructions. Finish with a leather conditioner to keep the material supple.

We recommend wearing moisture-wicking socks made from synthetic materials (like polyester or nylon blends) or merino wool. These materials help keep your feet dry and reduce the risk of blisters, especially during longer walks.

While generally comfortable out of the box due to the Phylon midsole and Ortholite insole, it's always a good practice to wear new shoes for shorter periods initially. This allows them to fully mold to your unique foot shape for optimal comfort.

Ensure you are wearing appropriate socks. Re-lace the shoes, starting with a slightly looser tension at the bottom. Allow for a break-in period; if discomfort persists, verify sizing.

While Dynagrip offers good traction, extremely wet, icy, or very steep loose terrain can still be challenging. Assess the terrain and consider if the shoes are suitable for the conditions. Clean the soles regularly to remove embedded debris that could reduce grip.

Remove the Ortholite insoles after use to air them out. Use anti-bacterial shoe sprays or deodorizers. Ensure shoes are thoroughly dry before storage. Consider rotating between two pairs of shoes to allow each pair to fully dry.
