Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The SolaDirect Lawn Aerator Scarifier typically comes with the handle attached or requires simple assembly. Ensure the wooden handle is securely fastened to the aerator head using the provided fixing screw before use. Verify that the screw is tightened to prevent wobbling during operation.
Compatibility: This tool is designed for general lawn care and is compatible with most common soil types found in residential gardens. It is most effective on soils that are slightly moist but not saturated. Avoid use on extremely hard, dry, or rocky ground, as this can damage the forks.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any soil, grass clippings, or debris from the forks and handle. A stiff brush or a damp cloth is usually sufficient.
- Storage: Store the aerator in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prevent rust and wood degradation. Hanging it up can help keep it clean and prevent damage.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the fixing screw to ensure it remains tight. Inspect the forks for any signs of bending or damage and address them promptly.
