Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Simply put on the jacket as you would any outer layer. For optimal warmth and moisture management in extreme cold, consider layering with a breathable base layer underneath. Adjust cuffs and hem drawcords (if present, > Info needed: confirm existence of drawcords) to seal out drafts and ensure a comfortable fit.
Compatibility
This jacket is designed to integrate seamlessly with standard professional workwear. Its streamlined fit allows for comfortable layering over work shirts, sweaters, or fleeces. It pairs well with work trousers and safety footwear, providing a cohesive and protected ensemble for outdoor work.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your jacket. Always refer to the specific care label inside your garment for the most accurate instructions. If unavailable, general care for polyester insulated waterproof jackets includes:
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a technical wash specific for waterproof outerwear, or a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can impair breathability and water repellency.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting, or preferably hang dry away from direct heat. Ensure the jacket is completely dry before storing.
- Ironing: Do not iron, as high heat can damage the waterproof coating and insulation.
- Bleaching: Do not bleach.
- Re-proofing: Over time, the durable water repellent (DWR) finish may wear off. You can restore this by applying a DWR re-proofing treatment after washing.
