Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The watch operates on a battery-powered quartz movement. Initial setup typically involves setting the time and date using the crown and any available pushers. Refer to the specific watch manual for detailed instructions on setting the analog hands and digital display elements if applicable.
Compatibility: As a purely analog-digital timepiece, compatibility concerns are minimal and relate mainly to personal preference for style and size. The watch functions independently of other devices.
Care:
- Strap: Clean the brown leather strap with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a leather conditioner sparingly. Avoid exposing the leather to excessive moisture or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Case and Crystal: Wipe the stainless steel case and mineral glass with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Dry immediately with a clean, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Water Resistance: Check the watch's specific water resistance rating. While many Fossil watches have some level of water resistance, it's advisable to avoid submerging the watch unless explicitly stated it is suitable for swimming or diving.
