Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack and Assemble: Carefully unpack the turntable and follow the setup instructions in the included manual. Attach the platter, counterweight, and dust cover.
- Connect to Amplifier/Speakers: If using the built-in preamp, connect the RCA cables to your amplifier or powered speakers. If using an external preamp, connect the turntable to the preamp and then to your amplifier.
- Power On: Plug in the AC adapter and turn on the turntable.
- Select Speed: Choose the correct speed (33 1/3 or 45 RPM) for your record.
- Start Playing: Place a record on the platter, press the start button, and enjoy!
Compatibility:
The AT-LP3BK is compatible with:
- Amplifiers and speakers with RCA inputs.
- Powered speakers with RCA inputs.
- MM and MC cartridges (with appropriate settings).
Care:
- Dusting: Use a soft, anti-static brush or cloth to gently remove dust from the turntable, tonearm, and records.
- Cleaning Records: Use a record cleaning brush and solution to clean your vinyl records regularly. Always clean records before and after playing.
- Cartridge Care: Handle the cartridge and stylus with care. Avoid touching the stylus.
- Dust Cover: Keep the dust cover closed when the turntable is not in use to protect it from dust and debris.
