Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
To put on your Nike Phantom 6 Academy High TF boots, simply slide your foot into the boot, utilizing the flexible high-cut Flyknit collar to guide your foot in. The collar is designed to provide a snug, supportive fit around your ankle. Once your foot is securely in place, pull the laces tight and tie them in a double knot for optimal lockdown and to prevent them from coming undone during play. Ensure the collar sits comfortably without bunching or twisting.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Turf (TF) surfaces, making them ideal for various types of artificial grass pitches. They are not recommended for use on natural firm ground (FG) or soft ground (SG) pitches, as the outsole stud pattern is optimized solely for synthetic surfaces. The new shoe frame offers a more accommodating fit for a variety of foot types, particularly those that require a bit more space around the toes.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- After Each Use: Remove any loose dirt or mud by gently tapping the boots together. Wipe down the entire surface with a damp cloth.
- Cleaning: For tougher grime, use a soft brush or sponge with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the NikeSkin and Flyknit materials.
- Drying: Allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them in direct sunlight, on radiators, or in a tumble dryer, as extreme heat can cause materials to shrink, crack, or degrade.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and moisture. You can stuff them with newspaper to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Machine washing is not recommended as it can damage the structural integrity and materials of the boots.
