Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Skechers Oak Canyon trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in Period: While comfortable out of the box, wear them for shorter sessions before embarking on long-distance hikes.
- Cleaning: Since the upper contains suede, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dried dirt. Avoid soaking the shoes in water, even though they are waterproof, to preserve the exterior finish.
- Drying: If the shoes get wet, air dry them naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, as extreme heat can damage the adhesives and the memory foam.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place when not in use to allow moisture to evaporate from the textile lining.
