Setup, Compatibility & Care
Because this jacket uses synthetic insulation and specialized fabric treatments, proper maintenance is vital to longevity:
- Cleaning: Machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can strip the DWR coating.
- Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If machine drying is necessary, use the lowest heat setting with dryer balls to help fluff the insulation.
- Storage: Hang the jacket in a cool, dry place. Avoid compressing the insulation under heavy items for long periods to maintain the loft of the synthetic fill.
- Compatibility: The jacket's design is slim enough to fit comfortably under a larger waterproof shell for winter days, or over a thin thermal base layer for high-output autumn activities.
