While originally designed for elite handball players in 1979, the current Adidas Handball Spezial is primarily intended for casual, everyday wear and lifestyle styling due to its updated materials and design focus. We do not recommend them for competitive sports use.

For general cleaning, use a soft-bristle suede brush to gently remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a nubuck/suede cleaner according to its instructions. Always test on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water.

The OrthoLite® sockliner is a high-performance insole that provides long-lasting cushioning, breathability, and moisture management, enhancing overall comfort for daily wear.

Like many colored materials, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause some fading over time. Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct light when not in use to help preserve the color. Using a UV-protective spray can also help.

These shoes feature a regular fit, designed to provide comfortable space for most foot shapes. The lace closure allows for adjustable tightness to customize your fit for optimal comfort and stability.

While the nubuck suede is somewhat durable, it is not waterproof. We strongly recommend applying a water and stain repellent spray designed for suede/nubuck materials before wearing them in wet conditions. Avoid heavy rain to prevent water damage and potential staining.

Use a specialized suede brush to gently lift dirt and restore the material's nap. For tougher dirt or scuffs, a suede eraser can be effective. Follow up with a suede/nubuck cleaner if needed, testing in an inconspicuous area first.

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause color fading. Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct light when not in use. Some specialized suede color refreshers may help, but prevention is key.

The nubuck upper will soften and conform to your foot with wear. Wear them for short periods initially to break them in. Ensure laces are not tied too tightly, allowing for natural foot movement.

Ensure the gum rubber outsole is clean; dirt and debris can reduce traction. Wipe the sole with a damp cloth to remove any buildup. If the sole is worn smooth, it indicates significant wear, and professional resoling might be considered, though less common for lifestyle shoes.

Sometimes squeaking can come from the sockliner rubbing against the inside of the shoe. Try removing the OrthoLite® sockliner, sprinkling a small amount of baby powder underneath it, and then reinserting it. If the squeak persists, it might be due to the outsole, which usually resolves with wear.
