The North Face Cyclone Wind Jacket is designed for active women who need a lightweight, reliable barrier against blustery weather during outdoor adventures. It offers exceptional wind resistance and water repellency in a streamlined silhouette, making it an ideal choice for hiking, cycling, or daily commutes; however, it is primarily intended for wind protection rather than heavy thermal insulation, so layering is required in colder temperatures.

It is water-repellent due to the DWR finish, which sheds light rain, but it is not seam-sealed or rated as fully waterproof for heavy downpours.
It serves as a great wind-blocking outer layer, but you should layer it over thermal clothing to stay warm in sub-zero temperatures.
Machine wash in cold water with mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners. Air drying or low-heat tumble drying is recommended.
The hood features stretch binding for a snug, secure fit that stays put during activity without needing manual toggles.
Yes, the WindWall fabric is specifically designed to block wind while allowing internal moisture vapor to escape during exertion.
The DWR coating may have worn off or become dirty. Wash the jacket to remove oils and dirt, then tumble dry on low to reactivate the finish.
The Cyclone is a wind shell, not a heavy insulator. Add a fleece or base layer underneath to improve thermal retention.
The jacket is designed to be worn as a top layer over base or mid-layers. To maintain the effectiveness of the DWR coating, wash the garment in cold water with a mild detergent and avoid using fabric softeners, which can clog the breathable fibers. Tumble dry on a low setting or hang to air dry to help reactivate the water-repellent finish. Always check the garment tag for specific temperature recommendations during washing.
