Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Nike Initiator running shoes require no complex setup. Simply unbox them, lace them up comfortably, and you're ready to run. Ensure you tie your laces securely but not too tightly to allow for natural foot expansion during activity.
Compatibility
- Surfaces: Ideal for paved roads, sidewalks, light gravel paths, and treadmills.
- Activities: Best suited for daily training runs, jogging, walking, and general fitness activities. Suitable for moderate distances.
- Runner Type: Designed for neutral runners or those requiring mild support.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Nike Initiator shoes.
- Cleaning: Gently remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush (like an old toothbrush). Mix a small amount of mild soap (e.g., dish soap) with lukewarm water. Dampen a cloth or sponge with the soapy water and gently wipe down the upper, midsole, and outsole. Avoid soaking the entire shoe.
- Rinsing: Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue.
- Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as excessive heat can damage materials and adhesives. You can stuff them with paper towels or newspaper to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, remove insoles and air them out separately. You can use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle a small amount of baking soda inside the shoes overnight.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
