Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your child gets the most comfort and longevity from their Clarks Roamer Star shoes, follow these guidelines.
Fitting Guide
Ensuring the correct fit is paramount for developing feet:
- Measure: Always ensure your child's feet are measured for length and width. As these are a `wide fit`, confirm they are appropriate for your child's foot width.
- Toes: With your child standing, check there's about a thumb's width space between their longest toe and the end of the shoe.
- Heel & Ankle: The heel should fit snugly, and the ankle collar should not rub or be too tight. There should be no slipping at the heel.
- Strap: Fasten the `rip-tape strap` securely. It should hold the foot firmly in place without being overly tight or causing pressure points.
Compatibility
- Age Group: These shoes are designed for `toddler` feet, specifically for the `pre-walker` and early walking stages.
- Foot Type: The `wide fit` is ideal for children who require more room across the foot and toes than a standard fit provides.
- Gender: This specific variant is described as `Female` and is a `Pink` colour.
Care Instructions
Proper care helps maintain the appearance and extends the life of the shoes:
- Cleaning Patent Leather: Gently wipe the `patent leather uppers` with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and scuffs. For more stubborn marks, a small amount of mild soap diluted in water can be used, followed by a clean damp wipe.
- Drying: Always allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the leather.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the `grippy sole` for any embedded debris or excessive wear. Check the `rip-tape strap` for any lint or dirt that might affect its grip; clean it gently with a brush if needed.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
