The Orac Decor C901F is a flexible uplighter trough type cornice moulding, ideal for creating background or mood lighting, particularly popular in the restaurant and hotel trade. If using lighting components, this coving should be placed at least 14 cm below the ceiling. Separate socket and lamp sets are required for mood lighting. For uplighter use, a separate transformer is needed for every 2-meter section and must be installed by an approved NICEIC electrical contractor. This coving design, part of the LUXXUS collection, has been popular since 1999. Its trough-shaped profile features a panel mould style near the base, designed to reflect light and create atmosphere. The C.901 can also be used without light fittings, typically placed flush to the ceiling. While most of the range is suitable for DIY installation, the C901 requires mechanical fixing if used as an uplighter, and any electrical work must be done by a registered contractor. The coving profile measures 15 x 12.5cm with a diagonal of 19.5cm. It features a convex curve with line detailing at the top and a foot with further line detailing at the base. This versatile coving can be used against the ceiling or lower on the wall for indirect or up lighting. Similar versions include the C902 (smaller) and C900 (larger, rigid only).
