Tinker Hatfield's creation - the Air Jordan 5 - is one of his finest, bringing striking design cues and his legendary visible Air units to the mix. This fresh pair arrives in an 'Indigo Haze' colourway, combining leather with synthetic gridded mesh and visible Air units. Lace jewels attach just below Jumpman-crested tongues, while jagged patterns on the midsole add Jordan character to the exterior. The Air Jordan 5 Retro Low has been released in a variety of colorways over the years, including a bunch of options created only in women’s sizes. From a structural standpoint, this AJ5 Retro Low is like all the others that have come before it. Its colors set it apart. It has a reflective upper that is covered in a gentle purple. There are hints of cream on everything from the tongue to the inner liner, to the sneaker’s signature shark teeth. The shoe is finished off with a darker grey on the midsole along with a translucent outsole. There is much to love about this AJ5 Retro Low, but what we appreciate most is that the upper is designed to be reflective. This makes the purple pop even more than it would otherwise to further differentiate it from other AJ5 Retro Low models.
