Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The watch comes with its quartz movement pre-installed and running. Ensure the crown is pushed in to maintain water resistance and accurate timekeeping. To set the time, pull the crown outwards to the first or second position (depending on watch function) and rotate it to the desired hour and minute, then push the crown back in.
Compatibility: This watch is a standalone analog timepiece and does not have electronic compatibility requirements with other devices. The strap is a slip-thru design, allowing for easy removal and replacement with other compatible 20mm straps if desired (check strap width specifications).
Care: To care for your Timex Peanuts watch:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and crystal gently with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, use a slightly damp cloth and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Resistance: While many Timex watches have some level of water resistance, always check the specific rating for this model. Avoid submerging the watch unless it is rated for it, and always ensure the crown is pushed in.
- Strap Maintenance: Condition the leather strap periodically to maintain its suppleness and prevent cracking. Avoid exposing leather to excessive moisture.
