Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Assembly of the Comfort Sofia Gold Dumfries Divan Bed Set typically involves attaching the headboard to the divan base. The base itself is usually pre-assembled. Ensure all fixings are secure. The included headboard is strutted, meaning it attaches to the bed frame via two upright struts. The chrome gliders should be firmly inserted into the base of the divan.
Compatibility:
This divan set includes a specific 10-inch mattress designed for it. The mattress is single-sided and features a non-slip base, meaning it should not be flipped but can be rotated head-to-toe. Ensure the mattress is correctly oriented on the platform-top base. The headboard is a standard 54" design and can be detached if a different headboard is preferred, provided it is compatible with the divan base fixings.
Care:
- Frame: Wipe the divan base and headboard upholstery with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Mattress: As the mattress is single-sided, regular rotation (turning end-to-end) is recommended to ensure even wear. Vacuum the mattress surface occasionally. Do not wash the mattress. Spot clean any spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth and mild detergent, then allow to air dry thoroughly. The breathable knitted cover can be spot cleaned following these guidelines.
- Gliders: Periodically check that the chrome gliders are secure and clean any dust or debris from around them.
