Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Lacing: Before first use, fully unlace the boots, then re-lace them to ensure even tension from bottom to top. This helps achieve a snug and comfortable fit customized to your foot shape.
- Break-in Period: Like most leather boots, the Total 90 3 SP 'Bordeaux' may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light activities or shorter training sessions initially to allow the leather to soften and mold to your feet.
Compatibility:
- Playing Surfaces: These boots are primarily designed for use on `Firm Ground (FG)` natural grass pitches. They can be used on artificial turf, but be mindful of increased wear.
- Foot Type: The `round toe` design offers a comfortable fit for a wide range of foot shapes. The `classic lacing` allows for adjustments to accommodate narrower or wider feet.
Care:
To ensure the longevity and performance of your leather boots:
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, wipe off mud and dirt with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh brushes that could scratch the leather.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as extreme heat can dry out and crack the leather.
- Leather Conditioning: Periodically apply a quality leather conditioner or cream to keep the leather supple and prevent it from drying or cracking. This is especially important if the boots get wet frequently.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Avoid Submersion: Do not machine wash or fully submerge leather boots in water.
