Product Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your jacket. The main material is Polyester.
- Cleaning:
- Machine Wash: Info needed: Specific temperature and cycle recommendations are not provided. Generally, for insulated waterproof polyester jackets, wash at 30°C (cold or cool wash) on a gentle cycle.
- Detergent: Use a technical wash for waterproof garments or a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, fabric softeners, or bleach, as these can impair waterproofing and breathability.
- Zips & Fasteners: Close all zips and fasteners before washing to prevent damage.
- Drying:
- Air Dry: Info needed: Specific drying instructions are not provided. It is generally recommended to air dry waterproof insulated jackets away from direct heat to preserve the waterproof coating and insulation.
- Tumble Dry: Avoid high heat tumble drying, which can damage the fabric and insulation. If tumble drying is necessary, use a low heat or cool setting with dryer balls.
- Storage: Store the jacket in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure it is fully dry before storing to prevent mildew.
- Re-proofing: Over time, the durable water repellent (DWR) finish may wear off. If water no longer beads on the surface, consider re-proofing with a suitable DWR treatment spray or wash-in product designed for technical outerwear.
