With its optimised grip geometry, maximise your stability in the first and second positions and paired with the shaft geometry, this tool has been engineered for climbing even on steep ice or rock. Designed with a hydroformed shaft and over-moulded adjustable grip, the Hydra is super-stiff and increasingly durable, making sure it’s easy to rack on ice clippers, and with the modular weights in the head, you can effectively execute tool penetration without altering your centre of mass, keeping you secure and stable on the ice. Compatible with an array of I.C.E. system picks from Alpine, Mixed to Ice or Dry, this tool includes a pick – light and heavyweight set, 4mm and 5mm wrenches and grip spacers so you’ve got what you need to make that next climb. Thanks to the innovative BD Integrated Component Exchange (I.C.E.) system, the Hydra Ice Tool can be configured to optimise your performance on any technical winter terrain. Ice cascades in the Alps, new routes in Alaska, ultra-technical mixed climbing... The Hydra ice axe is compatible with a complete range of I.C.E. accessories: blades, hammers, picks, weights, spikes, and supports that allow you to fully customise your ice axe to suit any climb. The ergonomically hydroformed shaft is designed for steep technical climbing and is suitable for overhangs in ice and delicate hook placements in mixed conditions. Moreover, the handle can be customised to fit your hand, with different mounting options for the spike or pommel. It includes a set of weights of various sizes, 4 mm and 5 mm keys, and supports.
