Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Measure Your Window: Ensure your curtain rod extends beyond the window frame by 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) on each side to allow the curtains to stack back fully. Measure the drop from the curtain rod to your desired length.
- Hang the Rod: Install your curtain rod securely above the window frame. Ensure it is level.
- Prepare Pleats: The pencil pleat heading features a tape with drawstrings. Gently pull the drawstrings on both ends of the tape to gather the fabric and create uniform pleats. Aim for the desired fullness, typically 2 to 2.5 times the width of your window.
- Insert Hooks: Insert curtain hooks into the woven pockets on the back of the pleat tape. Space them evenly to support the curtain's weight.
- Hang Curtains: Attach the hooks to the rings or gliders on your curtain rod.
- Dress the Curtains: Gently arrange the pleats and folds to ensure an even, elegant drape.
Compatibility
These curtains are compatible with standard curtain rods and track systems that use hooks. Their neutral grey color and classic pencil pleat design make them suitable for a wide range of interior styles and room types, from bedrooms and living rooms to dining areas.
