Setup
- Unroll Carefully: Gently unroll the poster on a clean, flat surface. If it retains a curl, place heavy, flat objects (like books) on the corners for a few hours to flatten it.
- Choose Location: Select a wall space free from direct sunlight or excessive moisture to prevent fading or damage. Ensure the surface is clean and dry.
- Mounting Options:
- Poster Putty/Tape: For temporary display, apply small amounts to all four corners and along the edges. Press firmly against the wall.
- Frames: For a more permanent and protected display, measure the poster accurately and purchase a suitable 61 x 91.5cm (or slightly larger with a mat) frame. Insert the poster carefully according to frame instructions.
- Poster Hangers: Magnetic or clip-style poster hangers can offer a modern, clean look without damaging the poster.
Compatibility
The poster is compatible with standard poster frames designed for 61 x 91.5cm prints. It adheres well to most smooth, clean wall surfaces when using appropriate mounting materials like poster putty, double-sided tape, or thumbtacks.
Care
- Dusting: Gently dust the poster regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a microfiber duster to prevent buildup and maintain clarity.
- Cleaning: If absolutely necessary, very lightly dampen a soft cloth with plain water (no harsh chemicals) and dab affected areas. Avoid rubbing vigorously, and let it air dry completely.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to UV rays from direct sunlight can cause the vibrant colors to fade over time. Position the poster in a shaded area or use UV-protective glass if framing for long-term preservation.
- Handle with Care: The 125gsm paper is durable but can still crease or tear. Always handle by the edges and avoid bending the poster.
- Storage: If storing, roll it loosely with the image facing outwards (to prevent cracking the ink) and place it in a sturdy poster tube or flat between acid-free sheets.
