Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Fuel Mixing: Mix high-quality unleaded petrol with a specific 2-stroke engine oil (refer to the Stihl manual for the correct ratio, typically 50:1). Shake the mixture thoroughly before filling the fuel tank.
- Initial Start: Ensure the choke is engaged, prime the fuel pump if applicable, and pull the starter rope with a smooth, steady motion. Once the engine fires, disengage the choke.
Compatibility:
This is a petrol-powered blower and requires standard petrol and 2-stroke oil. It is designed for outdoor use and is compatible with Stihl's range of maintenance accessories for petrol tools.
Care:
- After Each Use: Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure the air filter is clear of debris. Inspect the nozzle for any blockages.
- Regular Maintenance: Periodically check and clean the air filter. Inspect spark plug condition. Ensure the fuel lines are in good order. Store the blower in a dry, protected area, ideally with the fuel tank emptied if storing for extended periods.
- Engine Service: Follow the manufacturer's recommended service intervals for the 2-MIX engine, which may include checking valve clearance and replacing the spark plug.
