Yes, the jacket features an adjustable hood designed to provide protection against wind and rain.

What is the material composition?

The jacket is crafted from high-quality polyester designed for both durability and performance.

How do I keep cold air out of the sleeves?

Troubleshooting

Water begins to soak through the outer fabric

The DWR coating may have worn off; apply a waterproof reproofing treatment suitable for polyester fabrics.

Feeling damp inside the jacket despite it being waterproof

This is likely moisture buildup from sweat; ensure you are layering with moisture-wicking base layers rather than cotton.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High level of windproofing
  • Effective 5000mm waterproof rating
  • Breathable fabric prevents overheating
  • Customizable fit with adjustable cuffs and hood

Cons

  • Not intended for extreme, prolonged downpours
  • Limited to adult sizing
  • Requires proper care to maintain waterproof coating

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your jacket, follow these guidelines:

  1. Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a cool, dry place to maintain the loft of the padding.
  2. Cleaning: If the jacket gets dirty, spot clean with a damp cloth. For machine washing, always check the internal care label for specific temperature settings and use a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can strip the waterproof finish.
  3. Re-proofing: Over time, the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating may need to be refreshed with a standard wash-in waterproofing treatment to maintain the 5000mm performance.
  4. Fit: The adjustable cuff tabs should be tightened snugly against gloves or wrists to prevent cold air from entering during windy conditions.
