Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Halewood shoes maintain their finish and performance, follow these guidelines:
- Breaking In: Wear your new shoes indoors for a few hours at a time during the first week to allow the leather to mold to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away surface dirt after each use. For stubborn grime, use a slightly damp cloth and allow to air dry away from direct heat sources.
- Conditioning: Apply a high-quality leather cream or polish every few weeks to prevent the leather from drying out and to maintain the water-repellent barrier.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place and use cedar shoe trees to help the shoes maintain their shape and absorb residual moisture from the day's wear.
