Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These scissors are ready for use right out of the package. If the blades have been detached for initial cleaning or if they become separated, align the pivot hole of one blade with the corresponding post on the other, then secure them. Ensure they are firmly attached before use.
Compatibility: Designed for general kitchen use, these scissors are compatible with most food preparation tasks. They work effectively for cutting meats, poultry, vegetables, herbs, and packaging materials. The ambidextrous design ensures suitability for both right and left-handed users.
Care: For optimal longevity and performance:
- Cleaning: While dishwasher safe, hand-washing with warm, soapy water is recommended after each use to maintain blade sharpness and prevent potential corrosion. If detaching blades for cleaning, ensure they are dried thoroughly before reassembling.
- Drying: Always dry the scissors completely after washing, especially the blades, to prevent rust and maintain the integrity of the stainless steel.
- Storage: Store in a dry place, preferably in a knife block or a drawer where the blades are protected.
