Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jacket continues to perform at its best, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a technical detergent designed for waterproof gear. Avoid using fabric softeners as they can strip the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. Tumble drying on a low setting may be used if the manufacturer label permits, often helping to reactivate the water-repellent finish.
- Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a cool, dry closet. Avoid storing it compressed or damp to prevent mold or breakdown of the waterproof membrane.
- Compatibility: The jacket layers well over light fleece or base layers, but consider the fit before wearing thick, bulky sweaters underneath.
