Product Information
Full details
The Asics Field Trainers are designed for female field hockey players who demand stability and responsiveness during intense match play on astro turf. These trainers provide a secure, locked-in fit that supports rapid cuts and agile movements, allowing players to focus entirely on their performance. While they excel in traction and support on synthetic pitches, they are specialized gear and may not offer the same comfort or durability if used for casual walking or on hard, non-synthetic surfaces.

FAQs
Are these shoes waterproof?
While they are designed for outdoor hockey on astro turf and can handle moisture, they are not fully waterproof and should be dried properly after play in wet conditions.
Can I use these for running on the road?
No. These trainers are specifically engineered for the lateral and rotational movements of field hockey on synthetic turf. Running on pavement will lead to rapid outsole degradation.
How should I clean the white material?
Use a soft cloth dampened with water and a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that can yellow or damage the synthetic upper.
Does this shoe come in other sizes?
Yes, the Asics Field series is available in various UK sizes. Check the available variants for options ranging from sizes 4 through 8.
What is the primary benefit of the Field series outsole?
The primary benefit is specialized traction geometry designed to provide stability during high-speed changes of direction on synthetic surfaces.
Troubleshooting
Feeling discomfort or pressure points during play
Ensure the laces are adjusted evenly to distribute pressure across the bridge of the foot, and consider if the sizing is appropriate for your sock thickness.
Losing grip on the turf
Check the outsole for any stuck mud or artificial grass fibers. Use a brush to clear the grooves, as debris buildup is a common cause of reduced traction.
Pros and Cons

- Excellent traction specifically for astro turf surfaces
- Provides a highly secure, locked-in fit for stability
- Responsive design aids in quick acceleration and cutting
- Tailored for the specific demands of competitive field hockey
Cons

- The specialized fit may feel restrictive for those preferring extra room
- Performance is optimized strictly for field hockey mechanics
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Asics Field Trainers, proper care is essential. Since these are performance sports shoes, they should be cleaned after use to prevent dirt from hardening in the tread patterns.
- Cleaning: After playing, brush off loose debris with a soft-bristled brush. Wipe down the synthetic upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the shoes.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes at room temperature. Never place them directly on a heater or in a dryer, as high heat can compromise the adhesive and materials.
- Compatibility: These trainers are sized for adult UK size 6 feet. They are designed exclusively for synthetic hockey pitches; using them on concrete or indoor gym floors may cause premature wear to the outsole traction pattern.
