Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease or grime. For most surfaces, Al Fresco acts as a self-primer. However, for tricky surfaces like high-gloss or very smooth laminate, a light keying (sanding) might improve adhesion.
Compatibility: This paint is suitable for a wide range of materials including:
- Furniture and woodwork
- Laminate
- Powder-coated radiators
- Metal
- uPVC
- Ceramic wall tiles (avoiding very wet areas)
- Kitchen cupboards
- Front doors
- Interior wood and concrete floors.
Application: Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Apply with a good quality brush or roller. Two coats are recommended for optimal durability and finish. Allow adequate drying time between coats as per manufacturer guidelines (typically 1-2 hours).
Care: Clean painted surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Avoid harsh scrubbing. The paint is water-based, making cleanup simple with soap and water.
