Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
IMPORTANT: This Samsung Series 4 Smart Oven requires professional installation by a qualified installer. It must be connected to a dedicated circuit, and depending on your home's electrical setup, may require a 16 Amp supply or a specific cooker circuit. Attempting self-installation can be dangerous and may void your warranty. Ensure your installer is certified and understands the specific requirements for this appliance.
Compatibility
For the smart features, including SmartThings Cooking, the oven requires a stable Wi-Fi connection within your home. You will also need to download the Samsung SmartThings app on a compatible smartphone or tablet to access and control these functions. The app is generally compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
Care
Caring for your Samsung Smart Oven is made easy with its advanced cleaning systems:
- Pyrolytic Cleaning: For deep cleaning, activate the Pyrolytic cycle. Ensure the oven is empty and the door is securely closed and locked. Once the cycle is complete and the oven has cooled, simply wipe away the remaining ash with a damp cloth.
- Catalytic Liners: These liners work passively during regular cooking to break down grease. Periodically, you can wipe them down with a damp cloth to remove any residue. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scourers on the catalytic surfaces.
- Exterior: Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the finish.
- Child Safety Lock: To activate or deactivate, consult your user manual for the specific button sequence. This prevents unintended use by children.
