Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Ensure the supporting framework (studs or ceiling joists) is level and properly spaced.
- Cutting: Use a sharp utility knife to score the face paper and snap the board along the score line.
- Fixing: Attach the board to the framework using appropriate drywall screws. Space the screws according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Jointing: Apply jointing compound to the tapered edges and embed joint tape. Smooth the compound with a taping knife.
- Finishing: Once the jointing compound is dry, sand lightly and apply a second coat if needed. Prime and paint with a moisture-resistant paint.
Compatibility: Compatible with standard dry lining systems and materials. Use appropriate screws and fixings designed for plasterboard. Ensure the framework meets building code requirements. It is recommended to use moisture-resistant jointing compound and primers.
Care: Clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Inspect regularly for any signs of damage or moisture penetration.
