Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Identify Correct Battery Type: Always confirm your device requires a CR2025 battery. Check your device's user manual or the existing battery.
- Locate Battery Compartment: Open the battery compartment on your device, usually with a small screwdriver or by pressing a tab.
- Note Polarity: Observe the orientation of the old battery. Coin cells typically have a `+` (positive) side and a plain (negative) side. Insert the new battery with the `+` side facing the same direction as the old one, or as indicated by the device's markings.
- Insert Battery: Gently slide the new CR2025 battery into the compartment until it clicks or sits firmly in place.
- Close Compartment: Securely close the battery compartment.
Compatibility
These batteries are specifically compatible with devices that explicitly state a requirement for `CR2025` or `2025` 3V lithium coin cell batteries. While physically similar to other coin cells like `CR2032` or `CR2016`, they differ in thickness (2.5mm for CR2025), which can impact fit and performance in devices not designed for them.
Care & Storage
- Store in Original Packaging: Keep unused batteries in their original blister packaging to prevent short circuits and protect terminals.
- Cool, Dry Place: Store batteries at room temperature in a dry environment. Extreme heat or cold can affect battery life and performance.
- Keep Out of Reach of Children: Due to their small size, CR2025 batteries pose a serious choking and chemical burn hazard if ingested. Store them securely away from children and pets.
- Proper Disposal: Never dispose of used batteries in regular household trash. Many regions have specific recycling programs for lithium batteries to prevent environmental contamination. Check local regulations for battery recycling points.
