Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are threaded through all eyelets. Start with a firm but not overly tight pull from the bottom. Guide your child to tie a double knot to help prevent laces from coming undone during activity.
- Fit Check: With the laces tied, check for a snug fit. There should be about a thumb's width space between your child's longest toe and the end of the shoe. The heel should feel secure without excessive slipping.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed for general everyday wear, school, and light recreational activities. They are suitable for various surfaces like pavements, playgrounds, and indoor floors. While they offer good support, for specialized sports activities, specific athletic footwear might be more appropriate.
Care
Regular care will prolong the life and appearance of the shoes:
- Spot Cleaning: For dirt and scuffs, gently wipe the shoes with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials.
- Laces: Laces can be removed and hand-washed separately if they become heavily soiled.
- Material Specific Care: Info needed: If the material is leather, a leather cleaner/conditioner can be used. If synthetic, regular wiping is generally sufficient. If the material is not specified, assume a general wipe-clean approach.
