Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To set up the Digitus DisplayPort Connection Cable, ensure both your source device (PC, notebook) and your display (monitor, projector) have standard DisplayPort inputs. Connect one end of the cable to the DisplayPort output on your source device and the other end to the DisplayPort input on your display. If your DisplayPort connectors have a locking mechanism, gently press the release button on the connector before inserting or removing the cable to avoid damaging the port. Once connected, your system should automatically detect the display. You may need to select the correct input source on your monitor via its on-screen display (OSD) menu.
Compatibility: This cable is compatible with any device featuring a standard DisplayPort output and input. It adheres to the DisplayPort 1.1a standard, ensuring compatibility with most PCs, notebooks, and monitors that support this version. It supports video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz and 3D video, along with various audio formats. It is not compatible with devices that only have HDMI or DVI ports unless an appropriate adapter is used (sold separately).
Care: To maintain the longevity and performance of the cable, avoid sharp bends, kinks, or excessive pulling. Keep the connectors clean; if necessary, use a dry, soft cloth to wipe them. Ensure the cable is unplugged from both devices before cleaning or moving it. Store the cable in a cool, dry place when not in use, preferably coiled loosely to avoid stressing the internal wires.
