Product Information

Full details

The Kaiser Idell Table Lamp by Fritz Hansen is a timeless design, resulting from a long-standing tradition of original and enduring pieces. Meticulous craftsmanship and carefully selected materials ensure its high quality, promising lasting beauty and durability. This lamp is an ideal addition to any workspace or desk, providing a wide task light perfect for working, reading, or studying. The lamps are constructed from steel and brass, with hand-painted lampshades available in high-gloss white and black, or a matte finish exclusively in black. Designed by Christian Dell, the Kaiser Idell™ series is characterized by the fundamental shapes of modernism: the circle, cylinder, and sphere. Christian Dell, a German silversmith and industrial design teacher, began his work at the Bauhaus in Weimar and was renowned for his innovative designs. He created the Kaiser Idell™ lamp series, which also includes pendant, wall, and floor lamps. The asymmetrical lampshade and its ability to swivel 15 degrees to either side make the Kaiser Idell™ table lamp a flexible companion for everyday use, particularly as a desk lamp. FRITZ HANSEN, the Danish manufacturer, upholds the legacy of its founder, a carpenter from Nakskov, Denmark. Since 1979, 75% of the company has been owned by Skandinavisk Holding. Founded in 1872 with a trading license for Copenhagen, the company established a furniture-making business in 1885, quickly gaining recognition for its high standards. By the 1930s, it was a leading entity in steam-bending beech wood, and its history is marked by collaborations with renowned designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner, Børge Mogensen, and Kaare Klint.
