Setup
Setting up your VonHaus Ibiza Hammock is designed to be straightforward with its easy-to-assemble steel frame. Follow these steps for a secure setup:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging, including the hammock fabric, frame pieces, and any hardware.
- Assemble Frame: Connect the individual steel frame pieces according to the included instructions. Ensure each connection point is securely fastened. It is crucial that all screws or locking mechanisms are tight to ensure stability.
- Attach Hammock: Once the frame is fully assembled, attach the hammock fabric to the designated secure attachment points on both ends of the frame using the provided rope ties. Make sure the hammock is evenly spread and not twisted.
- Initial Test: Before full use, gently test the hammock's stability and comfort. Ensure all connections remain tight and that the hammock is balanced.
Compatibility
This hammock is designed for single-person use only. It is compatible with various outdoor environments, including gardens, patios, and larger balconies, as long as there is sufficient flat, stable ground for the frame.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your hammock:
- Steel Frame: Wipe the steel frame clean with a damp cloth as needed to remove dirt or debris. For long-term storage, especially over winter, ensure the frame is completely dry before storing indoors to prevent rust.
- Hammock Fabric (100% Cotton Canvas):
- Cleaning: Spot clean any marks or stains on the cotton canvas with a mild soap solution and a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the fabric to air dry thoroughly and completely before folding or storing to prevent mildew.
- Storage: While the hammock is designed for outdoor enjoyment, it is highly recommended to remove the cotton fabric and store it indoors during harsh weather conditions (heavy rain, strong winds, frost) or for extended periods of non-use. This will protect the fabric from fading, wear, and prolong its lifespan.
