Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best performance and longevity of your Scarpa Terra boots, follow these guidelines.
Setup
- Sizing: Ensure the correct fit by trying the boots with the socks you intend to wear. There should be some space in the toe box.
- Lacing: Lace the boots firmly, but not too tightly. Adjust the laces to secure the ankle and prevent movement.
- Break-In: Wear the boots for short periods initially, gradually increasing the duration to break them in. This prevents blisters.
Compatibility
- Socks: Wear moisture-wicking hiking socks to enhance comfort and prevent blisters. Avoid cotton socks.
- Terrain: Suitable for trails, hills, and general outdoor use. Not designed for technical climbing.
Care
- Cleaning: Clean the leather upper with a damp cloth or a leather cleaner after each use. Remove any dirt or mud.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight. Stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture.
- Leather Treatment: Apply a leather conditioner regularly to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. Follow the product instructions.
- Sole Care: Clean the sole with a brush to remove debris that could affect grip. Check for wear and tear regularly.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid storing them in direct sunlight or damp environments.
