Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Unpack: Carefully remove the curtains from their packaging. Lay them flat or hang them immediately to help reduce any creases from storage.
- Install Rod: Ensure your curtain rod is securely mounted above your window. The rod should extend beyond the window frame by at least 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) on each side to allow the curtains to stack back fully.
- Thread Eyelets: Simply slide the metal eyelets one by one onto your curtain rod. For a balanced look, ensure an even number of eyelets are on each side of the central support bracket (if applicable).
- Adjust: Once all eyelets are on the rod, gently pull the curtains along the rod to create even folds and the desired drape.
Compatibility
These `eyelet` curtains are designed for use with a standard curtain rod. Ensure your curtain rod's diameter is smaller than the eyelet's internal diameter for smooth movement. They are not compatible with curtain tracks that require hooks or gliders.
Care Instructions
Proper care will help maintain the appearance and longevity of your Fusion Whitworth Eyelet Curtains:
- Cleaning: Info needed: Always refer to the specific care label attached to your curtains for detailed washing instructions. Generally, for lined curtains, professional dry cleaning is often recommended to preserve the lining and fabric integrity. If machine washing is permitted, use a gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Do not tumble dry, as this can damage the lining or cause shrinkage. Hang curtains to air dry, away from direct sunlight, to prevent fading.
- Ironing: If creases persist after hanging, iron on a low heat setting on the reverse side of the fabric (the non-lined side). Avoid direct contact with the lining unless specified otherwise, and use a pressing cloth if necessary.
