Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Remove the kettle and base from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials are discarded.
- Rinse: Before first use, fill the kettle with cold water, boil, and then discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residue.
- Position: Place the power base on a stable, flat, dry, and heat-resistant surface. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Fill: Open the removable lid and fill the kettle with fresh, cold water up to the desired level, observing the `water level gauge`. Do not fill above the maximum mark or below the minimum mark.
- Boil: Place the kettle securely on the power base and press the power switch to begin boiling. The `power on LED indicator light` will illuminate.
Compatibility
This kettle is a standard kitchen appliance compatible with any typical household electrical outlet. Its sleek grey finish allows it to seamlessly integrate into various kitchen decors, especially modern or minimalist styles.
Care
- Cleaning: After unplugging and allowing the kettle to cool, wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the kettle or base in water.
- Limescale Filter: The `removable limescale filter` should be regularly rinsed under a tap. For heavier build-up, gently scrub with a soft brush. Ensure it is clean before reinserting.
- Descaling: In hard water areas, limescale can build up inside the kettle. This can affect performance and taste. Descale your kettle every 1-3 months, or as needed, using a commercial descaling solution or a natural solution like white vinegar (dilute 1:2 with water, let sit for an hour, boil, then rinse thoroughly multiple times). Always follow the descaler product instructions.
- Storage: Ensure the kettle is cool and dry before storing. Wrap the power cord around the base if a storage feature is available (Info needed: Cord storage feature).
