FAQs

Can I wear the MAC Lip Pencil alone?

Yes, the creamy formula allows you to wear the Lip Pencil on its own for a matte, long-lasting color. For a comfortable matte finish, ensure your lips are moisturized.

How do I sharpen this lip pencil?

Use a standard cosmetic pencil sharpener to maintain a precise tip. Sharpen gently to avoid breaking the creamy formula.

Does this pencil help lipstick last longer?

Absolutely. Using the Lip Pencil to outline and fill in your entire lip area creates a base that helps your lipstick adhere better, preventing feathering and extending wear time.

How can I make my lips look fuller with this pencil?

For a fuller effect, slightly overline just outside your natural lip line at the center of your cupid's bow and the fullest part of your bottom lip. Blend inwards and then apply your lipstick or gloss.

Is this product suitable for sensitive lips?

While the product is designed for smooth application, if you have sensitive skin, it's always recommended to do a patch test first. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

What is the best way to store the lip pencil?

Store the lip pencil in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve its creamy texture and prevent melting or hardening.

Troubleshooting

Pencil drags or feels dry

Ensure your lips are hydrated and exfoliated before application. If the pencil feels stiff, gently warm the tip between your fingers for a few seconds to soften the formula.

Lip color feathers or bleeds

Always outline your lips with the Lip Pencil first. For extra security, fill in your entire lip area with the pencil before applying lipstick or gloss.

Pencil tip breaks easily

Use a sharp, good quality cosmetic sharpener. Avoid over-sharpening. Store the pencil in a cool environment to keep the formula firm.
