Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Installation is designed to be straightforward. Ensure you have a few basic tools. Position the knocker on your front door at a comfortable height. Mark the screw hole positions. Drill pilot holes if necessary (especially for harder wood doors). Secure the knocker using the provided fixing screws.
Compatibility:
This door knocker is compatible with most solid front doors, including wood and potentially some composite materials. It is designed to be surface-mounted.
Care:
To maintain the antique brass finish, regularly dust with a soft, dry cloth. For tougher marks, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishing compounds, as these can damage the protective finish. If the knocker is exposed to salt air or heavy pollution, more frequent gentle cleaning may be beneficial.
