FAQs

Can I use any type of pan on the induction hob?

No, you must use cookware with a magnetic base, such as cast iron or magnetic stainless steel.

What is the warranty period for this cooker?

The Rangemaster Nexus comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.

Does the oven have a self-cleaning function?

It features catalytic liners that absorb and oxidize grease during normal cooking, significantly reducing manual cleaning needs.

Is the child lock feature available for the ovens?

The child lock is primarily for the induction hob to prevent accidental operation.

Can the oven be used for convection cooking?

Yes, both main ovens offer convection (fan) cooking options alongside conventional modes.

Does the unit include a power cable?

No, this unit is supplied without a plug and requires a qualified electrician to perform a hard-wired installation.

Troubleshooting

Induction hob not recognizing the pan

Ensure the cookware base is magnetic and matches the size of the cooking zone.

Oven light not turning on

Check if the bulb needs replacement or if there is a loose connection in the bulb housing.

Display screen unresponsive

Check the power supply to the unit and ensure the child lock feature is not engaged.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely versatile cooking capacity with four separate zones
Fast and efficient induction heating with boost mode
Durable stainless steel and chrome finish for a modern look
Convenient catalytic liners reduce the need for manual oven scrubbing
Telescopic rails enhance accessibility for heavy dishes

Cons

Requires professional high-power electrical installation
Large 110cm footprint may not suit compact kitchen layouts
Heavy weight (137.2 kg) necessitates careful floor and transport planning

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of the Nexus 110cm must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it requires a high-capacity electrical connection (11500 W). The unit is not supplied with a power plug and must be hard-wired directly into the mains. Ensure the kitchen floor is level and capable of supporting the 137.2 kg weight of the unit, and use the adjustable feet to ensure the cooker is perfectly balanced.

For ongoing care, the induction hob surface can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a specialized glass ceramic cleaner once it has cooled down. The catalytic liners in the ovens are self-cleaning to a degree, but internal glass and enamel surfaces should be wiped down periodically with non-abrasive detergents to prevent carbon buildup.
