Full details

The Prosperplast stackable storage bins are ideal for professionals and hobbyists looking to organize small fixings, components, and accessories in workshops or garages. FAQs

Are these bins dishwasher safe?

It is not recommended to use a dishwasher. Use a damp cloth and mild soap for cleaning.

Can these bins hold heavy hardware?

They are designed for standard workshop components like fixings and small parts. Avoid exceeding the recommended weight load to prevent warping.

Do I need special hardware to mount these to the wall?

Yes, they require a compatible louvered wall panel or rail system to be mounted securely.

Are the bins transparent?

This specific red model is opaque, which helps in identifying contents by bin color coding rather than transparency.

Can I stack different sizes together?

Generally, it is best to stack bins of the same series to ensure the locking mechanisms align correctly.

Troubleshooting

Bins feel unstable when stacked

Ensure the bins are placed on a completely flat, level surface and that the bottom interlock tabs are fully seated in the unit below.

Wall-mounted bin is tilting forward

Check that the mounting rail is level and properly anchored to the wall, and confirm the bin is fully engaged with the mounting bracket.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Modular stacking saves significant workspace area
  • Scooped front provides instant visibility and access
  • Sturdy construction suitable for heavy-duty components
  • Versatile mounting options for wall or bench placement

Cons

  • Not suitable for large tool storage
  • Requires separate purchase of mounting rails for wall applications
  • Weight capacity decreases as the stack height increases

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up your Prosperplast system is straightforward. For basic organization, simply stack the bins on a flat, level surface. If you intend to wall-mount your storage, ensure you are using the correct compatible rail or louvered panel system designed for these bins. To clean, use a damp cloth and mild detergent to wipe away oil, grease, or dust. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers which could scratch the plastic surface. Periodically check the base of the stacks to ensure the locking mechanisms are securely engaged, especially if you are storing heavy metallic parts.
