Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Hotter Gravity II Low Shoes is straightforward:
- Lacing: Unlace the shoes sufficiently to easily slide your foot in.
- Fit Adjustment: Once your foot is comfortably inside, tighten the laces to achieve a snug yet comfortable fit. Ensure the tongue is centered and there are no pressure points.
- Insoles (Optional): If you use custom orthotics, simply remove the existing `removable insoles` and insert your own. Ensure they fit properly without bunching or creating discomfort.
Compatibility
- Foot Width: These shoes feature a wide width, offering a more generous fit than standard footwear. This is beneficial for those who find regular shoes too restrictive.
- Orthotics: The `removable insoles` make these shoes compatible with most personal orthotic inserts, allowing for customized arch support and cushioning.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Hotter Gravity II Low Shoes:
- Upper (Leather/Mixed Material):
- For general cleaning, wipe the leather sections with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.
- For stubborn marks, use a leather cleaner specifically designed for the type of leather on your shoes. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.
- Condition the leather periodically to keep it supple and prevent cracking. Use a leather conditioner or cream.
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes that could damage the material.
- Lining (Textile):
- The textile lining can be gently wiped with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Allow to air dry completely.
- Sole (PU):
- Clean the PU sole with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dirt and debris.
- Drying: If your shoes get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the leather and other materials.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
